Description

A new work that chronicles a young mother's journey as she struggles with the loss of her estranged child. At 18, Em runs off after getting pregnant with her musically inclined son, Jake. Lost in NYC with a newborn, Em meets a coercive, self-professed "chakra healer" (played by a puppet) who introduces Em to a cold outlook on motherhood. Years pass, tensions boil and drug abuse spikes. Jake flees. His life ends early. The piece focuses on Em's exploration of the lyrics and memories Jake left behind. A music-based show about paranoia, homosexuality, excess, and forgiveness.

Brilliant, powerful, touching performance of storytelling and rock music, weaving mental health issues and human distress into a tragic comedy. This is a talented group of young performers from NYC. Bravo!

A fantastic rock show, fantastic energised musicians, and top class narrative by Maddie. Great work from the puppet too. Highly recommended.

The best thing we saw at Fringe this year. It is a full on explosion of creativity from a brilliant young cast. A hard driving beat. An emotional performance. And a guest appearance from the puppet. Independent theater at its best. Catch it while you can.

An incredible mix of rock music and theatre. Not only incredibly moving and a great story but with the combining or rock music it was an absolutely unique experience and one I think I'll have to watch again. Couldnt reccomend more.
