Description

Six actors. Six parts and the roll of a dice. How can an accusation change a life? Do You Ever Get Scared? Explores justice and retribution in this six-hander, asking questions about our own and our society’s perceptions of abuse.

The acting is better than average, but the play consists of loosely linked dialogue that can leave audiences confused. I spoke with numerous attendees after the production, and they were annoyed and mystified by the lack of linearity in the play.

To say one is "exploring" important issues is in this case a cover for using the nouns in the issue, but ignoring the analysis and potential solutions to that issue.

The acting in this show is phenomenal and it grapples with some really important themes. Such beautiful writing of dialogue should not be missed. I only wish there had been more of it.
