Description

Die! Die! Die! Old People Die! Ridiculusmus. Comedy duo Ridiculusmus reclaims humankind's last taboo from imminent eradication in a fragile farce about ageing, dying and grieving. Amid fumbling, coffee, call centres and cat food, their rants, dribbles, pills and cough bombs litter an ambling blend of symbolist mysticism and synesthesia that has the fear of ageing in its sights and oozes with the positivity of elderhood and good deaths. Part of British Council Showcase 2019.

I must come out immediately and say that anyone who suspends a chandelier in any auditorium during the Edinburgh Fringe, should be commended – it sits gloriously out of place and economically signposts the barrier between stage word and ours. A mahogany round-table, two chairs, a glass of water, that...
