Description
Have you ever been caught in a loop? Does every revision require a friggin' revolution? Does pushing too hard only get you right back to the beginning? What if everything really is just the same thing forever? At a time when progress has given way to authoritarianism and disintegration, comedian and storyteller Desiree Burch (Netflix, Live at the Apollo, Radio 4) embarks on a soul-searching journey of mythically ridiculous proportions in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada, to learn something deeper about how she, and all of us, have gotten here. Directed by Sarah Chew. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. What a show! Desiree took us on a journey through the Burning Man Festival, full of funny asides, high moments, strange meetings, a walk through the wilderness. A fast paced very funny show! And as she said at the end - 'I have told you a story' leaving us to wonder if it was true, how much was true? Did we care? No, because we were thoroughly entertained!

Finally got to see Desiree after her cancelling last year. It was worth the wait. What an amazing perforce! High speed delivery taking us on a journey across the Burning Man festival in a rush of meetings, conversations, tripped out experiences and amazing insights. It simultaneously make me want to be there but soooo glad I wasn't. The audience was swept along with the story and gave Desiree a much deserved standing ovation at the end. I only hope her energy can last for the whole festival.
