Description

David Kay, one of the hidden gems of the Scottish comedy circuit, laconic, quirky, surreal, unexpected and awesome... Kay’s laid-back, gentle and original style has won him many fans. Known for scone-based comedy alongside observations and rambling stories. Kay arrives 'looking as though he should be in an art school indie band yet talking as if he's a senior citizen' (Scotsman). As seen on Comedy Central's The Alternative Comedy Experience and as heard on Mordrin McDonald, BBC Radio 4. 'Reminiscent of the deadpan American surrealist Stephen Wright... Wonderfully improbable' (Scotland on Sunday). Refreshing, see Kay now. www.david-kay.com

The Skinny (3/5 stars) 54 days ago

David Kay is a niche act. If you aren’t enamoured with him in the first five minutes, you won’t enjoy the oncoming fifty. Considered one of the hidden gems of Scotland's comedy scene, Kay’s persona is the same on stage as it is off. There is little showmanship. He has...
