Description

A ghost story told with magic. When Rob Blake discovered a coded journal in his late uncle’s attic, he enlisted my help as a magician to decipher them. Join me as I present our supernatural findings to the world. Be warned, these demonstrations are not for the faint of heart. Loved this show! A dark room and a chilling story make for the perfect setting to make an audience feel at unease when performing magic! Which is exactly what you want in horror! Beyond being a terrific magician David is a very captivating performer! I was sat in the front row and was drawn into the eerie world he was creating! Highly recommend you go see it while you can!

A phenomenal show that beautifully combines amazing magic tricks with a sublime narrative story and takes place in a perfect intimate venue. If you’re a fan of horror and magic and you haven’t seen this then you’re missing out. Five stars :)

Amazing magic woven into a creepy story. Catch him while you can - if you are lucky enough to get a ticket - David is going to be BIG! I loved this show and am sure it won't be long before we see him on our screens and filling big theatres in the future. Watch out Paul McKenna there's a new boy in town!

Dave is easily one of if not THE best magician on the Fringe.

As with Dave's other shows, the magic in this performance is exceptional and will leave you speechless. Aside from this, Dave's storytelling is mesmerising and genuinely spooky...potentially not a show for the faint-hearted! Dave's "Nightmare magic" is far from your traditional magic show, it will hook you from the start and have you taken on a journey to the unknown and indescribable, it is definitely not to be missed (but do get there early, well worth the long queue!).

Derren Brown meets Edgar Allan Poe - brilliant showmanship and a beautifully crafted narrative that will raise hairs on the back of your neck. Don’t miss it!!

A dark room, a dark tale, some dark magic... With a master storyteller. David has the kind of voice that could make a phonebook sound fascinating, and this is material that he's written himself. A very good show, which is "sold out" within minutes of when they release the tokens (pro tip: join the queue for the token 90min before the show, because they're released 60min out to a LONG queue).

David's magic performance is pure class. I called him a "freak of nature" tonight, which he took as the compliment it was meant to be. Go watch him and be freaked out!

This guy is sick! A beautiful Lovecraftian horror with some decent magic. A professional performance - well worth seeing…
