Description

An outsider at age fourteen, Nick discovers the intoxicating pleasures of inventing fake personalities in the chat rooms of the World Wide Web. Adam's online profile, and the words 'I want to fall in love' pique his curiosity. Nick invents Rachel, the girl of Adam's dreams, and charms the gullible boy into a cyber love affair. As Nick's creation grows beyond his control, his curiosity becomes obsession.

I went to this show unsure of what to expect and I left feeling like I had just made one of the best decisions of my Fringe. This play was dark and sincere with some comedic relief sprinkled throughout and oh my gosh, it was incredible. I was so impressed with the attention to detail, the quality of the story line, the use of tech, which was so on point and well rehearsed, the staging and the acting! The entire cast were phenomenal, the actor playing Nick was a real stand out for me, with a stunning stage presence and talent, but that takes nothing away from the others, all real Stars. A huge shout out to the entire team, behind the scenes and on the stage, this truly is one of the best performances I’ve seen and I shall be going to watch it again tomorrow. Amazing. Highly Recommend. x

Quality acting ! Really way better than we ever expected . A great story too ! I question a couple of the very graphic sexual references .....i am 49 , not much shocks me ...but the chap with his hands down his pants , maybe a little too far ? Perhaps cut that back a bit ? But hey this play was stunningly well acted , an important story and everyone involved should be incredibly proud! Its great

Excellent play presented by very talented young actors. A great way to end our Fringe visit. We have been here for 2 weeks - seen 39 shows and this was one of the best plays. Highly recommended!

Nick is 14 years old. He’s struggling, like any teenager, to develop a relationship with his mother as a young adult, make friends and deal with his burgeoning sexuality. Combine that with the internet and it’s a heady, dangerous combination. Once Nick is introduced to the concept of “dark play”...
