Description

As seen on the BBC and Channel 4. Anglo-Iranian, English Comedian of the Year finalist 2017, Darius Davies returns with 'one of the funniest, most thought-provoking stand-up shows this Fringe' ***** (FringeFeed.com.au). This is a story about how easy it is to manipulate the media, troll men on Tinder, and get revenge against Ryanair by any means necessary. A show so explosive the powers that be don't want you to see it. 'Brilliant, hilarious, outstanding' ***** (BroadwayBaby.com). 'A knockout sensation!' **** (BroadwayWorld.com). 'Full of verve... style and energy' (Chortle.co.uk).

I'm the best.

Highly recommended for brainless thugs who LOL just by hearing F words and virgin teenagers desperate to see pictures of erected penises. On the second one, he really delivers.

Depicting how far a vexatious complainant can go, he brought into the show reviews he had last year and his revenge on an airline. That provided the story is at all true. I guess you may see this one next year.

There were glimpses of quality on an intelligent use of the media and a good and funny story on fake news. But I am afraid it was too short to make the effort of sitting for 1 hour.

Do not feel coerced by his unusually ruthless demands for money at the end of the show. Standard rules of the Fringe and Free Fringe apply.

I stumbled upon his show completely by accident and I'm so happy I did. I saw 5 different standups over a weekend and I think he was the funniest! Good jokes and great delivery

We went into this show knowing nothing about it, having been flyered outside the pub. Only around a dozen people turned up which didn’t bode well. However, Darius
had the audience in fits of laughter within moments of the show commencing. His material was original and had my wife and I in stitches from start to finish. I’m amazed Darius is not selling out all his shows. In contrast, we went to see Milton Jones last night and I barely raised a smile.

This guy sounds like an idiot, but it's all an act: this is clever comedy at its best!

Took a little while to capture my interest at first but built up nicely with plenty of laughs and some great, cynical insights into the way the modern world works through both social and mass media. We need to be wary of both these days. See this show to find out why!

I didn’t notice until after I had bought the tickets that the description for this show was almost the exact same as the show I seen Darius perform last year. I was skeptical for that reason as I didn’t want to endure the same jokes again but I was pleasantly surprised. Of course there were some repeated punchlines but the majority of material was fresh and hilarious. He creates a perfect bridge between world politics and laughter. One of the funniest comedians I have ever seen and I could not recommend him more.

Darius Davies prepares his audience by engaging the slightly low-energy room with some standard ice-breakers. He also provides some trigger warnings related to phalluses and Trump (cue much confusion). Davies refers to the lack of energy and confronts the reticent, explaining that he will give as good he gets. But...

Persian of Interest is a rare gem of the 2019 Fringe - an hour of topical comedy that manages to be funny, relevant and timely without dragging jokes back to the looming monoliths of Brexit and Trump. Davies crams a lot into an hour of rapid-fire comedy, from how to...
