Description

The lights are low. Wine uncorked. Music fills the room. Italian jazz. Seductive. Sizzling. Smart. This is Espresso Manifesto. Rich patrimony of the contemporary Italian songbook. Boundary blowing brew of jazz, pop, cabaret and romance. ***** (BroadwayBaby.com).

Daniela Nardi's Espresso Manifesto.. third time I've seen them, I have their music at home, and yet I'm still agog at the quality of their arrangements, their consummate musicianship, and the atmosphere they conjure up when they play. It does transport you somewhere nicer. Whether its Daniela Nardi's honeyed vocals, Ron Davis' fluid piano, Kevin Barret's chilled guitar and arrangements, their talented new bassist and drummer, or some fortuitous combination of all five, there is something about Espresso Manifesto that will find you irrationally smiling to yourself afterwards. It's just a shame that they don't visit more often. A genuine tonic for the soul and balm for the mind. Not to be missed.

Lucky enough to catch this on the first sold out night.Top quality musicianship and vocals.

This was a class act in a small, cramped but atmospheric setting.

This mainly Italian music set was delivered in a smooth and seductive way by Daniella and the other Espresso Manifesto musicians.

A very enjoyable early evening gem in my opinion.
