Description
After a decade of performing all over the world, in over 50 countries and countless viral videos, European-Canadian comedy star Daniel-Ryan Spaulding brings his new solo show to the Fringe. This year he quit drinking, overcame depression, lost 100kg with gastric sleeve surgery, and is bringing his Power Gay energy from Berlin to Edinburgh with a sassy, provocative and thoughtful show about living your best life! Let's face it: no one can triumph like a gay man. They take tragedy and adversity – make it beautiful and hilarious – and this is that kind of show! Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. Daniel-Ryan Spaulding is funny, like really, really funny. And he is honest, about himself and his struggles, about European culture, and about the LGBTQIA+ community (straights included). He is honest and humorous in his observations about the world; he has a clear point of view about topics covered, and this point of view = funny. His accents and impressions are on point and at a level of silly that kept me attentive and laughing for the full hour. As a gay man, comedian, and human, I recommend this show wholeheartedly; the ending of which is so positive, you'll feel good about everything for a while.
