Description
Durham University's only a cappella ensemble that specialises in barbershop harmony, Full Score, is back after three years for another exciting Fringe show! Having previously run a sell-out show in 2019, Full Score have now established their name in Durham with an entirely new choir. They have prepared a show full of slick jazz and pop covers, tearful musical theatre ballads, and some comedic Disney classics. Something for everyone! Singing both in dazzling harmony as a chorus and sharing intimate emotional moments as one-to-a-part quartets, prepare to be blown away by these incredible singers. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. A crime if there are any empty seats during these shows! They deserve to keep their sell out Fringe Artistes record! This young, enthusiastic group from Durham Uni, kept us thoroughly entertained, for what felt like the quickest 50 musical minutes I have ever had! Song after expertly arranged song, with complex barbershop harmonies and dynamics were sang with gusto and enthusiasm, with each and everyone of the choir members giving it their all. Nothing like traditional barbershop, this is their twist on modern day classics, including Queen, Art and Garfunkel and who knew a barbershop arrangement of Jungle Book's I Wanna Be Like You would work? But work it did! Our first time seeing Full Score, but definitely not the last! Get a ticket - you won't be disappointed!

Great show, a really nice mix of old and new, chorus and quartet. Ambitious arrangements (first time I've heard Aladdin medley live, really well done). Bundles of energy on show, and every performer looked like they were having a ball. But most of all, beautiful harmonies.
