Description

The Crocodile of Old Kang Pow is a compelling story told with an intoxicating blend of musical styles, set against the fetid backdrop of 18th-century Paris. We asked what would happen if the notorious sexual deviant, the Marquis de Sade, were to lose his libido? And what if... in order to regain it, he must embark on a perilous journey and at its end face the Crocodile god of fertility? Utilising mythology, puppetry, opera, gospel, profanity, humour and high art with low morals, the show weaves an elaborate, hallucinatory, cautionary tale.
