Description

It is March 2020 and the public is demanding action against the coronavirus. Nicky Parsons is one of them. At the start, she's got the lockdown nailed. But before long, life descends into chaos as Nicky loses control. Over Skype conversations with her mother, Nicky shares the absurd and frightening reality of living in lockdown. Under duress, Nicky is forced to re-evaluate her whole life. Starring Alice Bragg, writer and outspoken critic of lockdowns, Corona Daze is a humorous portrait of a woman on a housebound journey of enlightened self-discovery.

A really excellent show using a mix of monologues and audio-footage from the time of lockdowns to bring back powerful memories and raise questions about the absurdity of it all. Funny, powerful and well acted.

A wonderful play about one persons journey through lockdown.

Corona Daze is fantastic in taking the audience through the feelings and journey of one familys lockdown experience all told through the conversations with a daughter and her mother whilst all around her the family try to get along.

Some real laugh out loud moments and great observations of that time. But sometimes with a touch of empathy to the struggles and heart ache that were faced.

This is a journey in which we can all relate to in some way and told in a new and unique way.

Go and see.... you wont be disappointed

This one hour show by Alice Bragg seemed to cram in all the things we remembered - and had forgotten - about lockdown and the Coronavirus. It really took me back to the crazy days of trying to juggle life as a middle-aged mother of three in unexpected circumstances. Alice knitted it all together with great humour and poignancy. The show sped by, very entertaining and well worth an hour of your Fringe viewing!

This show was excellent. I took a chance on the last day of my trip and I’m glad I did! The story arc was well developed, with humour, a good pace and some lovely vulnerability, performed brilliantly by the actor/writer Alice Bragg. The play highlighted the absurdities of lockdown but also managed to avoid being ranty. To hold an audience for an hour with only one performer can be a tall order for a fringe show, but it was managed with ease here. This show deserves a bigger audience - definitely one to watch if you can.

Wonderful show! While my family lived through lock down in the US, we had the same fears, frustrations, and moments of togetherness! It was cathartic to be reminded of it all and give a rueful smile!

Funny and on point! Wild to think I had forgotten about some very corona lockdown moments! The show is a great way to start your morning at the fringe!

I did not think I would ever want to re-live lockdown, but Corona Daze was an honest, thoughtful and well acted story of one person holding it all together-ever relatable. COVID might be “in the past” but the pressures of life never go away. We thoroughly enjoyed the show!
