Description
Copper, Ash and Fire. An exhibition of new, high-fired stoneware by Andy Lang, The Potter of Leith, using mainly wood, ash and copper-based glazes, showcasing the famously elusive copper reds possible only in reduction firing. An artisan of over 40 years experience, Andy's work is wheel thrown and both functional and decorative. Small 2D and 3D pieces by local guest artists and makers will be on show alongside the display of contemporary ceramics. It will also be possible to visit the adjacent workshop of Leith Community Pottery to observe techniques, practices and works in progress. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted.
