Description

Rock Festival Choir is Alnwick's renowned chamber choir of 22 singers under director Peter Brown. The choir appeared at the Fringe 2018 singing the Rachmaninov Vespers to great acclaim and returns singing contemporary choral classics by Chilcott (Little Jazz Mass), Lauridsen, Gjeilo, Whitacre, Gorecki and others. Peter Brown said 'It is such an honour to be coming back to the Fringe singing in these fabulous historic kirks. The programme we have chosen for 2019 is a blend of spine tingling choral pieces from amongst our best 20th and 21st century choral composers'.
