On the eve of his birthday, Bobby struggles to find a wish to blow out his candles. Over a series of dinner parties, intimate conversations and first dates, the perpetually single Bobby grapples with the pros and cons of marriage with the ‘good and crazy people’ that are his married friends. After a five-star, sell-out Fringe run in 2019, the Edinburgh University Footlights are thrilled to return to the Fringe with Company. With music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by George Furth, this groundbreaking musical is an honest and intelligent look at love, vulnerability and relationships.

Very late with my review. This was a great show. From the staging to the performances, everything was spot on. A difficult musical to put on, the cast did a fabulous job.

Excellent production of this Sondheim show. A young group full of talent performing with great energy and enthusiasm. Cleverly managed in such a small space with a cast always on the move and backed by great live music. A real winner. See it if you can.

Went to Sundays show, absolutely fantastic entertainment from a group of young talented individuals. They utilised a very small space with minimal props to perform a really entertaining and in depth performance, I’d give it 5 stars and gutted im not able to attend the show again. It’s not one to miss at all if your at the fringe!

We have seen this production twice in the first 4 days of its run and it has been a delight on both occasions. An extraordinary pool of youthful talent - singing, acting, music and direction - that rivals what you would expect from professionals. Combined with simple, slick, clever staging and tremendous energy. The 105 minutes flies by. Would highly recommend.

Wow, a super slick production of Sondheim’s Company! We were there on Sat 6th Aug and it was a full house. Deservedly so, these young vibrant Edinburgh Footlights actors put on a fabulous performance from start to finish. Every single one of them played their role to perfection. Great acting and singing and really tight harmonies. For such a big show they did not have a big stage to work with and yet choreographed the space really effectively. Definitely worth a visit. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

An all around wonderful performance. Every aspect of the performance was strong. The actors were all talented, the band contributed positively, and shoutout to the set/costume designer for such a wonderful and simple aesthetic!

A fantastic show put on by an incredibly talented cast: not a single weak link among them. Despite seeing the show on its first night, it all felt very polished, and every number was a delight. The band were solid, and deserve particular praise for keeping the levels balanced despite the cast having no vocal mics. Costumes and staging were basic but worked, especially given the restricted space. Would thoroughly recommend this show to any fans of musicals - though be warned the venue is very warm and there's no interval, so stock up on drinks in advance!

There is not a single moment in the musical that does not bring joy.
