Description

A palm-reading drag queen tells Jenny she’ll never find love, sending her mind reeling back to high school and a matchmaking scheme that went horribly wrong. Hopefully filling out the quiz, Jenny envisions her perfect match who, horrifyingly, turns out to be the biggest loser in the school. Was this whole matching system just a cruel hoax? Maybe, but years later she wonders… what if he was her perfect match? Questions about love, destiny, erasure, and memory collide in this comical and surprisingly touching story of growth, acceptance and the expansiveness of love.

What a lovely, inspiring show! Jenny's writing and performance are fabulous, and this story is so important. It is quirky and funny, but also incredibly compassionate and spiritually energizing. It's a good time for folks to think about how we value each other and what love means and is worth. So grateful for this piece!

Color Inside the Lines is a valuable one-woman musical which leaves you guessing where the story is going, and recognising how the hierarchies we navigate through life have a knack of influencing the choices we make.
