Description

Modern Studies frontwoman Emily Scott performs new melancholy folk-tinged solo record Leave No Shadow with lush string chamber orchestra and band. With some of Scotland’s finest classical and pop musicians in a soaring acoustic, this afternoon begins with a short contemporary composition. 'Emily Scott’s voice is a beautiful thing. It flies like Sandy Denny, but has the wounded intimacy of Beth Gibbons and the precision of Christine McVie' (Mojo). Support from alt-folk lyrical genius, artist, and co-founder of OK Pal Records, Faith Elliot: 'One of the finest lyricists of their generation' (DrownedInSound.com). MadeInScotlandShowcase.com
