A distinguished company breathes life into the lusty age of Falstaff, including Sir John's audacious revels with his "King-in-waiting" Prince Hal, his preoccupation with sherry sack, and memoirs all of the very merry age of England. Prince Hal's coronation takes place where Sir John is snubbed by the newly crowned King Henry V. He begins to mythologise his times with the Prince, his bravado at the battle of Shrewsbury (vs Hotspur) before lamenting the loss of his royal friend. Convinced he will be 'called for', he dies of a 'broken heart'. In 1403, Falstaff was England.
