Description

An irresistibly charming homage to the magnificent circus horses and the silent movie era. Inspired by the history of traditional horse circuses, the skilful ringmaster performs acrobatics, juggling and balancing with an amazing cast of hobby horses. As the horses take centre stage, part of the story is told in short silent movies. The artist's innovative and playful work with the hobby horses brings the magic of circus alive! Chevalier won the Finnish Children's and Youth's Theatre Award in 2021. Race Horse Company's Super Sunday was a Total Theatre Award nominee of 2019 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

This is a great show for toddlers and children. My 2 year old was kept entertained throughout, and so was I!
Well done.

I loved this show, which I attended as an unaccompanied adult. The performer comes across as such a lovely person and his acrobatics are impressive. The wee film clips are great and the whole show is really imaginative and utterly charming. Take your wee kids.

Fun show for adults and kids of all ages. My 2-year-old was entertained the whole way through and laughed out loud at several points. Highly recommended!

Brilliant show! Really engaging performer doing circus skills, clowning and interacting with video. Hugely creative with so much going on - the kids in the audience were spellbound and the adults loved it too. Take your little ones!

A lovely family show centred around a bunch of hobby horses that miraculously come alive in front of our eyes. The 45 minutes fly by and are thoroughly enjoyed by both the young and those young at heart.

Chevalier’s Hobbyhorse Circus truly inspires a bygone era and brings it to the modern day with a fresh approach. This is an experience that isn’t just different but very special indeed.
