Description

My Dad is the most important man in the country* but this isn't about him. It’s about me, Charlotte Johnson. You might think you know me because you read an article about me somewhere, but only about 20% of that is true. In my debut hour, get to know the real Charlotte Johnson before I become the next big thing. *due to ongoing parliamentary investigations, some information may be out of date at the time of print. Made with support from Exeter Phoenix, Exeter Northcott Theatre, BBC New Creatives and Pleasance Fringe Futures.

Absolutely loved this - Charlotte is a natural performer and completely engaging in the character (at least I think it is a character!). Crowd work is an art that can be done badly a lot of the time, but Charlotte expertly brought out the best of the audience in a very comfortable way. I had a great time, as did the rest of my group.

Commentary on nepotism/politics is never too heavy-handed, the show is just a whole lot of fun more than anything else. Wasn't one that was on my radar before the Fringe but definitely glad I checked this out!

Charlotte is a natural born performer. Her show has a charming and chaotic energy which is honestly so refreshing watch. Deals with quite deep subject matter without making it hard work. Really leaves you thinking about privilege, power, and nepotism in the industry, whilst also being thoroughly entertaining. Would highly recommend this show!!

A hilarious, chaotic and unapologetic piece about nepotism. A great exploration of how it feels, from an audience perspective, to be in on the joke (or not).

A zeitgeist piece that made us laugh from start to end. We were highly impressed by this high wire act of comedy - Charlotte seems to be a natural at taking risks and yet making it work. There were times when you thought that it could all go horribly wrong, only to find yourself laugh along a moment later. A piece about privilege that reflects so much that is happening right now.

Hilarious, nice content and not too much politics, hate it when they just use headlines as their set but Charlotte really hits the spot right. You’d regret not seeing her. She’s gonna be big one day.
