Jen, in foster care with an abusive past, and Alex, in boarding school, both have Cystic Fibrosis. She’s skinny but otherwise well, he desperately needs a lung transplant. In a chat room, Alex learns it’s nearly Jen’s birthday which nobody is going to celebrate... As his breathing is a constant, conscious and often painful act, the irony of having his breath taken away by love isn’t lost. Our first venture to Edinburgh with a play premiere from an RTS award-winning writer. Come along, be enchanted; Cepacia will take your breath away.
