Description

The Cathedral Song School is decorated with murals by Phoebe Traquair, painted between 1888 and 1892. The recently restored work includes religious images, images of the natural world, and portraits of leading figures of the day and of the choir and clergy of the time. Free tours of the Song School, led by a volunteer guide, on Mondays 7th and 14th August, Wednesday 9th and Fridays 12th and 18th August at 11am. Meet at the Palmerston Place (West End) entrance to the Cathedral.

Our access tickets service is available to anyone who:

  • Would like to book specific accessibility services, e.g. a hearing loop, audio description headsets, captioning units, seating in relation to the location of the BSL interpreter
  • Requires extra assistance when at a venue
  • Has specific seating requirements
  • Is a wheelchair user
  • Requires a complimentary personal assistant ticket to attend a performance
