Description

Known for dusky vocals and biting wit, Edinburgh Fringe regular and award-winning performer Cat Loud sets her sights on the historically female-led sub genre of jazz. Torch Songs features classic and contemporary tracks from vibrant women – the likes of Billie Holiday, Nina Simone and Melody Gardot – who sing of heartbreak and pain, and every shade of love in between. 'Perfect night cap... Stunning!' (Graham Norton). 'Cat’s singing is spectacular, effortless and moving... delivered with charisma and great energy' (ThePlaysTheThingUK.com). ***** (BroadwayBaby.com). ***** (WestEndWilma.com).

These Torch Songs are less about the men, and more about an unabashed love for the songwriters come before her. One day, Loud may join such great names. For now, she keeps their spirit alive through her voice.
