Description

A Fox. A Bear. A Machiavellian Crow… and the forest is burning. If Bambi met Othello, you would have Carrion. Carrion is a new, razor sharp, dark comedy loosely adapting Renaissance revenge tragedy into a startlingly modern and incisive drama of ambition, manipulation and desire. Merging Shakespearean poetry with the language of Sarah Kane and Dennis Kelly, Carrion strips back human relationships to their animalistic core and charts the encroachment of the human world on nature. 'Darkly brilliant' (DailyInfo.co.uk). 'Provocative and well observed' (TheOxfordBlue.co.uk).

This show was fab! You have three very skilled actors at the centre of a complex deeply tragic story. If you like Shakespearean tragedies, beautiful pros and a soliloquy or two you’ll love this piece! This is a show I wish I could see again.

A dark, deep and powerful play about human interaction. Definitely a highlight of my fringe and one to go out of your way to see. A brilliant, moving and funny story told by 3 exceptionally talented actors

A darkly comedic and twisted story - the 3 performances were absolutely amazing (especially in ensemble scenes) and the tech added even more layers to an already fantastic show. Not one to miss!!

My third time at the Fringe, and I think this is the best show I’ve seen across all three years. Stunning performances from the whole cast. When we came out of the show my partner said, “That was the most absorbed I’ve been in a live performance in my whole life”.
Utterly enthralling, I can’t recommend it enough. Go and see this show!

Brilliant. Highly recommend this engaging trio of actors who transport us swiftly into their world. Dark and intense yet funny, poignant and observant, well-depicted characters.
A powerful, intense drama of leadership and relationships - brightened with moments of sudden humour. Instantly engaging, the talented cast of three easily launch the audience into their world of dominance and tradition, rebellion and treason.
Great entertainment.

Great piece of new writing! Loved the set design and the performances of all the actors. Very funny. Not one to be missed!

A taut play well executed. Resonances of Animal Farm meshed with flashes of Shakespeare and lots of undones. Some great lines like the grey forest . All the cast of three excelled. Nicolas Rackow is a rising star. Don't miss this.
