Description

Take an intriguing and entertaining stroll with our guide as you investigate some of the old wynds and closes on the Royal Mile, which are steeped in a sometimes violent and bloody history. Follow in the footsteps of bygone rogues, bodysnatchers, plague victims, writers, poets and less well-heeled characters! Admire the architecture, statues and monuments, dedicated to those who helped form the living history left by their actions and deeds. See the rich history of the Royal Mile – separated by Edinburgh Castle at the top and Holyrood Palace at the bottom.
