So disappointing and really not worth the ticket price (which is significantly more than many other far funnier comedy shows here). Total lack of good jokes. Doesn't live up to the Cambridge Footlights' reputation at all.

Amusing but not rib ticklingly so. Probably better than my low expectations but I wouldn’t recommend enthusiastically.

We always see this show and this was as good as ever. Each actor was brilliant. The babysitter sketch was a classic - just brilliant.

Enjoyable show. Some good jokes but not amazing compared to other shows

I cannot quite believe how talented , funny and entertaining my son is .....surprisingly so given his genes . Seriously though ,loved the show , brilliant sketches , great fun , high energy and loads of songs I knew !!! Still very disappointed that the Jeremy Kyle sketch has been axed but Cluedo is a fine replacement . Well done team , it really is a fantastic achievement to produce a show with quite so many jokes that are so very funny.

Great fun - particularly loved the babysitter sketch!

5 stars — Brilliant fast-paced sketches had us laughing from beginning to end. A must-see!

Harriet Rouse 99 days ago

Top class, clever and hilarious hour of comedy. I really wished it would never end! The footlights never disappoint and I highly recommend everyone rush to see this show.

Excellent talents cast delivered some side splitting sketches and some that I felt missed the mark. Some sketches had me laughing out loud while some just made me smile. A good hour of entertainment but not sure I would recommend to others.

We see the Cambridge Footlights most years and this year certainly did not disappoint. Every sketch had us laughing, such as a brilliant mime segment, to a struggling babysitter - every actor demonstrated great comic timings and instincts. Very much recommend this show. Hilarious.

The 2019 footlights tour lives up to the groups’ reputation of showcasing immensely talented young people in a scintillating performance. Melding clean cut and professional ensemble sequences, the humour is that which everyone can relate to which is always so important. Personally, I think it’s so hard to find a concept that appeals to everyone’s sense of humour when writing comedy, yet the laughter and enjoyment of the show was universal. Incredibly witty and relatable, the sketches tied in all aspects of mundane life in hilarious ways. Audience participation was so much fun and I was pulled up on stage for a bit of mime so I found myself attempting to challenge my inner Charlie Chaplin! As students my friend and I feel that the show would appeal to anyone from their teens up to their seventies. This is simply because the fun is being made from iconic bits and pieces taken from life in good taste. Other comedy shows on the fringe end up using content based on pure sarcasm or toilet humour in an attempt to appeal to the widest audience possible but ‘Look Alive’ is the show I imagine to be enjoyed by everyone. The best show I saw this year hands down!

Such a warm and inspiring atmosphere. An amazing show with such a talented and confident cast, the best show I’ve seen at the fringe so far! X

Sharp and pacey. Saw in preview and already well polished. Not afraid to send up the Footlights own heritage - excellent political sketch...

Great fun. Talented crew. Some quite kooky sketches but all good. Def glad we got tickets.

Look Alive! is a relentless, noisy hour from excitable bright young things. And while Cambridge Footlights’ heritage creates an almost impossible benchmark, this show meets it in energy, commitment and performance. Unfortunately, though, it doesn’t in jokes. ...
