Alafia ensemble aims to build bridges between worlds of sound. The audience can expect a varied programme from large symphonic works to traditional music from the diverse cultures of its members. Alafia Ensemble is made up of six musicians from different musical backgrounds who met during their studies at the Cologne Academy of Music and Dance (Germany). The members of the ensemble are: Venezuelan flutist, pianist and arranger Leonardo Pedroza Cabrera, Cypriot clarinetist Nikola Janjic, Russian pianist and composer Olga Riazantceva-Schwarz, German/Palestinian violist Marina Eichberg, German/Portuguese cellist Paulo Francke Negreiros and Scottish mandolinist Iain Lennon.

General venue access

  • Accessible entry: There is a permanent ramp from the street to the door on a very easy gradient and after that everything including the disabled toilet can be accessed via level access.
  • Wheelchair access type: Permanent Ramp, Level Access

  • Stairs: 2 - 5
    Number of stairs is provided as guidance and is not in addition to any wheelchair access type (lift/ramp etc) stated above.

How and when to make an access booking

Our access tickets service is available to anyone who:

  • Would like to book specific accessibility services, e.g. a hearing loop, audio description headsets, captioning units, seating in relation to the location of the BSL interpreter
  • Requires extra assistance when at a venue
  • Has specific seating requirements
  • Is a wheelchair user
  • Requires a complimentary personal assistant ticket to attend a performance
