Description

To breed or not to breed? Award-winning writer/performer Joyful Raven wrestles with this questions in her new hit show. Brazen and bawdy, Raven combines unabashedly honest storytelling, stand-up and dark humor to navigate the nuances of female reproduction choices. She reflects on her own difficult decisions and battles her primal baby-making instincts. Should she surrender to the role of weird auntie, or start a GoFundMe campaign to freeze her geriatric eggs? Come for the laughs. Stay for the sex education. 'Brilliant, brilliant show.' **** (Noho Arts, Los Angeles). 'She tells it funny' **** (San Francisco Examiner).

Joyful shares a story n a powerfully funny and deeply moving way about the choices women have to make and how motherhood comes in many forms. Highly recommend for both men and women to see.

Joyful Raven artfully weaves together the tragedy and triumph of her journey through a tumultuous relationship, academic ambitions, and the gut-wrenching steps she takes to realizing her own relationship to motherhood in this great one woman show.
