Description
Blue Dragon. A train station platform. Four strangers. A stunning "view". They meet, and talk, and meet again, and talk again, and grow to understand each other, and completely fail to see what's going on. They are on the Blue Dragon, a weekly service with seemingly no destination, which provides a descansory experience for passengers halfway through the journey – a rest platform whose sole purpose seems to be to bring the travellers together in an admiration of the surroundings. A dark comedy of three scenes. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. this show was incredible. crackling with uncanny energy, every character was perfect and probably one of the best things I've seen at the Fringe. I was completely transfixed by the visuals, sound, dialogue and story. Go and see this!!!

A beautiful play telling a deep, dark story. It examines your look at life, death, love and sacrifice in such a beautiful and moving way. The use of projection and choices to depict certain scenes via puppetry heightened the final scene in one final shocking punch that left me feeling like I would cry.

Such a good play! - if you’re at the fringe and want to see something new, comedic, intriguing and full with amazing talent go and see this play. The acting is fantastic, the set up so simple yet encapsulates you the audience into the story perfectly and the comedic timing flawlessly strewn throughout. Loved it!!!

If you’ve ever wondered what Groundhog Day would be like if it were set in a mobile euthanasia clinic in limbo, then look no further.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Contemplative yet consistently laugh-out-loud funny, Blue Dragon is a show any fan of Martin McDonagh’s absurdist humour will love. Examining love and honesty as we observe the stages of grief, it’s quiet moments of reflection are heightened by contrast with the surrounding fast-paced and witty dialogue. Each actor has the chance to impress in both comic and sombre setting and duly delivers. Brilliant!
