Blodwen's in Paris

Cabaret and Variety (musical comedy)

Description

Follow Blodwen across the channel on her mission to cure her broken heart and start a new life in the city of romance. She's seen Moulin Rouge, bought a beret and got a job as a nanny. In French, 'window' is 'fenetre', in Welsh it's 'ffenest', so she's fairly confident the language won't be an issue... A musical comedy from a Welsh woman with a big heart, huge appetite for adventure and a fabulous voice.

RECOMMENDATION (Ed Fringe): Loved this show... Emily is so innately funny. In this show, she's equal parts a wide-eyed innocent amazed by life, balanced by old sage not missing the poignancy of any given moment of life's journey. oh, and she can sing. GO! It's "FREE" so you can take a punt, and pay what you think on the way out.. ENJOY

An hour of good, clean fun. Wonderful singing voice, funny songs, delightful accompaniment, and a very engaging performance all-round. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyable story with songs, particularly the rendition of 'Children will listen'.

A perfect year in Paris, told in song and stand up from zany Welsh Blodwen.
Such a warm and witty, inventive show - I was smiling from start to finish. And what a voice! There’s beauty and sensitivity too - shimmering between the nutsy gags. Well worth checking out. And a fab venue.. maybe the Free Fringe is where it’s at? Merci boo-coo, Blodwen.

What a superb show! Blodwen takes the audience on a journey into Paris as she starts a new life there, but blends this brilliantly with comedy, story-telling and singing.

A thoroughly enjoyable hour of fun, entertainment and joy! Blodwen's singing voice is fantastic, the show itself is lighthearted and endearing, and I would really recommend going along to see it for yourself if you can!

Emily Davis is blessed with a powerful singing voice and a lot of funny bones and it makes for a very entertaining combination. She sings, too, with such clarity and aside from the delicious comedy, Ms Davis can really put over a sad or reflective song, too. I left the theatre with a big smile on my face hoping that in the near future Blodwen would be 'visiting' Amsterdam, Berlin, wherever!

Who couldn't be charmed by this terrific energised performance. It's a wonderful and funny show about life not always going to plan but somehow there's always a silver lining......and Cheese!!
