One of the best shows I've seen! Edge of the seat stuff and so funny and life affirming! Mimi clearly has a lot of experience and skills when working in such an unpredictable situation. More of a social experiment, than a "show" in my view, def worth more than a single viewing.

What a delightful 90 minutes. Clever, quick and warm-hearted.

the show was excellent. Really skilled improv. The audience was with them all the way. You will be too.

Funny, entertaining and different every night, highly worth seeing. The date that Mimi had tonight (Dustin) was very good and got in to the spirit of it. Recommended!

This could be touch and go as it revolves around a different audience member each time. But I can say the one I attended was excellent and very entertaining, and full marks to the man who put himself forward. I'd see it again to experience how it changes with a different member of the audience.

Mimi (Northam) gives a timely reminder that we all have something in us which we can be loved for in a riotous, charming and funny Blind Date that explores human connections, love and relationship through the lense of two strangers meeting.

Improv at its best. A show you could return to (especially if you’re picked from the audience the first time!)

Totally recommend!

I saw this show last night and I loved it! The performers were outstanding both in skill and in how they worked the audience. I do not want to give away any of the details as it is a show you must see and experience. One of my favorite shows of the Fringe! Outstanding lead actress. A+++++++

Northan creates a hugely supportive and kind atmosphere which helps her co-star and the audience get the most possible humour from the whole situation. And it is incredibly funny. A mixture of playfulness, wise-cracking, physical comedy, smut and clowning are combined expertly to make an absolutely hysterical, brilliant night that is so adeptly managed you almost believe it hasn’t been.

Comedy psychologists could explain why it’s rib-shakingly funny to see a member of the audience pulled up on stage – not for a few minutes, but more or less the full 90. Blind Date recently celebrated its 800th outing, has toured from Canada to the US and London, and tonight’s...

Look for tickets... Couples, singles and groups of friends mingle awkwardly in a side room, attended upon by smart waiters who hand out free compliments from silver platters. Mimi, in red shoes, red dress and red nose, chats informally with her guests, doing her best to cut through the nerves.We...

I arrive at the Canada Hub and am escorted to the theatre lobby to wait for the doors to open. I’m greeted by a “waiter” with a tray of compliments.  Like a pre-show canape, I’m asked to choose a piece of paper.  Inside is my compliment: “you light up the...

Fest (3/5 stars) 100 days ago

Blind dates are awkward and weird. Blind dates that are turned into a show and improvised in front of an audience by a French clown are no doubt even more bizarre, and that’s what happens in this long-form improv. After Mimi chooses an eye-catching man from the audience and takes...
