Description
This gender euphoric cabaret is a musical paradise for thems, mens, femmes, and everyone in between. 'It’s a big, silly party where transness is centred and everyone is welcome' (Theatreview.org.nz) by artists from NZ and NYC! ‘It feels like hanging out with your friends at a house party. With a band. And rainbow glitter. Everyone’s wearing sequins. You’re inside but you can pretty much guarantee unicorns and bunnies are frolicking around in the garden.’ (Regional News). Nominated for Excellence Awards for Theatre for Social Change and Best Ensemble, Wellington Theatre Awards 2022.Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. Once again, Butch Mermaid didn’t disappoint. A fantastic, well presented and entertaining show dealing with a very misunderstood subject. There are not enough stars to give this show, very well done everybody. Please come back next year, Scotland needs you!

Such a fun performance filled with laughter, music and so much queer joy. The cast were brilliant and so incredibly welcoming, it really was like hanging out with your best friends. I absolutely loved it!

Fabulous display of composition and musicality! Combined with an expression (exposure) of the need for all to be free to just be who we are

Took an impulsive chance to see this and I'm so glad I did. Cried tears of queer joy. Fun, touching, empowering.

This is a must see show. I have never watched a performance of nothing but the purest, most beautiful queer euphoric joy before. Bright colours, incredible talent, and nothing but warm smiles throughout.
