Description
One of the most established comedians in India, Biswa brings his trademark observational comedy to the Edinburgh Fringe for the very first time. Biswa's unique perspective and angry rant-style delivery turns every topic he touches into comedic gold. As seen on the hugely popular YouTube series, 'Pretentious Movie Reviews' alongside Kanan Gill, Biswa's latest Amazon Prime special 'Mood Kharaab' was filmed at Soho Theatre last year. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. Biswa's performance was like the 'kela' that was left out on the table too long. Good for nothing but no one wants to attempt to throw it into the dustbin either.
-10 for effort, -10 for disrespect, 2 for posing for photos (which we took out of pity of this performance)
Worst arts show I have been in my lifetime, disservice to other Indian names he's trying to promote. Keep shut so folks don't get discouraged to watch other Indian artists.
Bro needs to file RTI to India and get info on "what you are doing". Spend 40 minutes of the show doing this with the audience. Might be a senior in Indian comic scene but go watch Abhishek and Nirmal and learn to do crowndwork, putting effort and showing enthusiasm.
Amount of effort I put on this feedback is 10 minutes more than what Biswa put on the show!

I went in knowing of Biswas style of jokes and comedy and having seen it from back home in India. He has a certain style and if you let him flow, you can tag along. He's unapologetically himself, but not to the extent where one wouldn't enjoy it. That's been my experience and I thoroughly loved Biswa's performance! His show is a mix of scripted work + crowd work, so please do not think he's just asking questions cuz he's not doing what we paid for. He is actually trying to put a fun twist into everyday conversation because that is what crowd work entails as well. The more well a crowd agrees to play along, the better the entire piece goes. Thanks a lot Biswas for doing this show. My partner and I loved the entire bit! Even if it may not be everyone's cuppa tea, which he doesn't pretend to be either.. I would still full on recommend for those who'd enjoy as well :)

Extremely unimpressed. Had I not placed myself into a corner, I'd have left halfway. The 20min of stand up material was hardly amusing but he then actually spent 40min engaging with the audience with nonsense chatter about "what do you do", "how did you two meet", "tell me one thing you like and dislike about her/him". Literally one of the worst comedy acts I've ever seen. How's this guy even famous (he even boasted about the fact that since he's become famous, he doesn't really work on his material anymore). I wish I'd read reviews before going.

What a shit show. The stand up bit in the earlier part of the show was still palatable but then he goes on to spend the entire show picking up on the audience -- there were so many ways this could have been done better but it wasn't. Highly disappointed, would not recommend!

Disappointing show! Should have been in Hindi, Biswa’s English act is no good. Personally this was most boring stand up act I have been to. I wish there was option to ask for refund

It is not easy whipping up jokes through crowd work but Biswa did it in his usual style which includes…dramatic pauses. There were some good moments and probably another crowd, another day may bring out his best. An enjoyable show no doubt.
