Description

How does a queer, GenZ comedian survive her past, the pandemic, and the indignities of a stand-up career? Vincent (aka Bird) takes the audience on a (seriously) funny flight, often through taboo comedy territory. Audiences say Vincent is a 'badass, punk rock, hilarious' storyteller and Bird is '…emotional, dark, and funny! Go see Bird!'

This show is so fresh, hilarious and vulnerable. Kylie is an incredibly gifted comedian and storyteller. She set up a great rapport with the audience right at the top of the show that made us feel comfortable and included. One of my favorites at the Fringe so far! Highly recommend!

What a wonderful hour of storytelling and standup so skillfully intertwined. Kylie has a fabulous stage presence and was mesmerizing for the entire hour. Definitely recommend this raw and funny piece!

It takes some performers their entire career to tell their story. I’m amazed that Kylie is able to do this at 22 with fantastic jokes. Go see her now before you can’t afford to do it.

Please go see this!!

I went on impulse the other day and when it was due to start I was the only one there, and Kylie was fully game to do the whole thing for just me bless her, but thankfully a few other lasses showed up and we all had the most wonderful intimate experience and were laughing and crying and hugging by the end. Kylie channels her experience as a survivor into something beautiful and hilarious and it's a real gift for those of us who've been through similar things. My favourite fringe show so far hands down.

Kylie is a wonder! First of all, she comes out of the gate with very strong stand-up. She set up and landed those bits like a boss. I thought I’d heard every punchline in the world, but she surprised and delighted me at every turn. I love the way she gives her characters animal personas, very clever and such a strong visual reference. We get it straight away. Then, she transforms from a sharp-witted comic into a vulnerable HUMAN person revealing the most distressing information and we all go with her. She earns our respect from the get-go and then all we want to do is wrap our loving arms around her while simultaneously high-fiving her for her strength and grit. My god, to say that I was blown away is a massive understatement.

I loved this show! Kylie Vincent brilliantly walks the line between hilarious observational comedy, and deeply vulnerable honesty. In the exploration of her past, Vincent casts her family members as various animals, bringing a deep somatic intelligence and imagination to her work which is something I've never experienced in a standup comedy context. Her stories stayed with me well after I left the theater.

Kylie Vincent is now famous to me and I have no doubt I’ll be bragging about having seen Kylie Vincent before she was famous to everyone else!
