Description

Bipolar Badass is a one-woman show by Mari (like calamari) Crawford about the humour behind struggling with the illness. In between car crashes and apathetic psychiatrists lies an absurd perspective of “this thing called life.” From an initial diagnosis to family history to manic escapades to somewhat figuring it all out, we see the layers and ridiculousness of an illness that is misunderstood.

Mari is a badass who happens to be bipolar. Her performance is heartbreaking and hilarious. Her voice is loud and clear as she shares her journey with mental illness, eliciting empathy but mostly awe-filled admiration.

The performance has a short run-time, but it simultaneously manages to be educational, emotional, and fun, and that is something Crawford should be proud of.
