We’ve been to two of these shows. A different lineup for each show. Our first visit had a great lineup. We went on to book two of the performers shows following this snap shot of what to expect. However while today’s offerings were vaguely entertaining to various degrees we will not be racing to the box office anytime soon to secure tickets for their shows.

I attended Best of The Fest yesterday.

Zoe Lyons, Cally Beaton and Chris Parker had the crowd laughing throughout their performances.

Laser Kiwi just seemed weird and “their bit” was very repetitive.

Choir of Man were fantastic, I wished they were on longer. I could have listened to them for ages.

The acts change daily, I think I got a good set of acts overall and enjoyed the show.

Visited on 5 August. For ‘Best of the Fest’ we were extremely disappointed. The compare was excellent and funny. We hadn’t a clue what Ravens act was about, the others acts were ok, certainly not ‘The Best of the Fest’.

Attended this show today(5th Aug) and was so disappointed! The show we attended last year was very good and we were looking forward to an equally good show today but unfortunately we didn’t get that!!!
The compère, Mark Watson( whom we have seen before and liked) was just not funny today! Several times, it appeared as if he didn’t know what he was going to say next....
Micky Overman, a Dutch comedian - not much comedy in her act!
Raven- what was this all about?????? Not my cup of tea at all!
Maisie Adam, comedian- at least she had a bit of personality about her! Some of her material was not too bad!
My Leonard Cohen- Two very talented musicians but could perhaps have chosen a couple of the better known songs as not everyone in today’s audience was a Leonard Cohen fan and was therefore not familiar with the chosen songs.
I know it’s pot luck what you get in this type of show. I guess we were just unlucky in what was on offer today!
