I saw this on the last day. I picked it because the combo of four girls dancing about football was something I felt I had to see! :)

It was great. Terrific energy and performances, which translated the highs and the lows of the beautiful game perfectly.

I'm sure the performers would like to do their thing in a bigger venue to a bigger audience, but I thought the size of the space (pretty small) contributed to the show's charm and appeal.

Fitbaw hats off to all involved.

This wildly amusing show was highly relatable to players and fans of football from all ages. The choreography was outstanding as well as the performers who we’re sure will go very far in life on the stage.Highly recommended

Beautifully put together and just thoroughly enjoyable from beginning to end. Loved every minute (and I am not a football fan)!

Went to see this with my footie-mad husband ... and loved it! It's great fun and the performances are fantastic. Highly recommended.

Brilliant fun, highly recommended, some superb observational comedy performed with exceptional exuberance and no little skill. ‘Extraordinary scenes’

Great show that kept me smiling all the way through. A wonderful pop at football and symbolises how we footie fanatics actually behave! The girls are energetic, fantastically talented and the show is cleverly written... loved it and definitely worth supporting.

Really enjoyed this show! 110% commitment from all four performers, throughout the whole show. Brilliant!

Amazing, Funny, a must see show!
The show was really well thought out, maybe the writer has a football obsessed partner? Either way they took experiences we have probably all come across and really put some humour and energy into them.
A great show for the whole family.

It has the highs, it has the lows, its real end to end stuff!

Its unbelievable (Jeff), these talented young women really put on a show. The arm chair punditry, the offside rule, those lucky boots, that amazing goal. Its all in there even to your wife waiting for you to come home on a Sunday afternoon for your dinner after a game.

Football effects us all and that's why its the nations favourite game, this is a fitting piece to celebrate it all and shows that you dont have to be a fan of the game to enjoy this show.

This show is like the winning goal in the 90th minute!

Good luck x

This is really excellent and different to anything else I have seen at the fringe. The young women capture the highs, lows and passions associated with football brilliantly. My teenage boys were surprised at how much they enjoyed it. The words “dance” and “physical theatre” didn’t fill them with confidence but this proved to be a great show for them and for the rest of the family.

The whole show is incredibly well observed and well written.
Full of fantastic choreography and absolutely non-stop fun.
You will love this if you're a football fan and you will love it if you're not.
The performers have masses of energy, enthusiasm and skill.
One for all of the family.

A brilliant palate cleanser from stand-up comedy for all football fans. No less funny though. It's so well constructed that you almost forget it's a dance show other than comedic, honest theatre.
Football fans under the age of 18 will love it because it is a perfect show for them.
Football Fans over the age of 18 will love it beside it will speak to that inner child that first fell in love with the game.

Its Coming home!! Its coming home!! Its coming...... Funny, well played, a humorous kick about on stage. This is nothing short of a tribute to The Beautiful Game that is football.

To be clear this show has not only reignited the kid and grown up football fan in me ahead of the new season but changed my view on dance/theatre/shows. My partner drags me to shows i dont want to see but i was promised this show was for me... They were not wrong!

Love it or hate football everyone can relate to this, which is what makes this piece so good. The drama, the highs, the lows, the pre game antics, these girls put more effort in, in 60mins than the back row at Arsenal put in the whole of last season.

It's 5 stars from us!!!
MUST SEE! This is an amazing show for all of the family, whether you love football or hate it. These girls packed this show with endless energy, laugh out loud expressions and stories. WE LOVED IT!!!!
Well done girls

Our first time at the fringe, went to see this show and was so impressed. Amazing energy from the cast of girls, great routine about the beautiful game. Lovely to see the young children also laughing and enjoying too. Would highly recommend this show.

Saw this yesterday (7th) with my partner Iris. I have little interest in football (Iris is the football fan) but thought this show was absolutely fantastic. The four performers were terrific - committed, totally focused and really engaging. I would regard this as a must see and hope the young women get rave reviews from everyone who sees this show. Very best of luck to the performers and my apologies to Emily (?) for taking her orange (although I did give it back!!!)

As someone who avoids football like the plague I honestly expected this to be my idea of hell.
I was pleasantly surprised by the heartwarming tribute to the football traditions from up and down the UK. Delivered with an amazing sense of humour, witty dance routines and an amazing soundtrack I enjoyed every minute of it

There’s scarcely room on-stage for anyone to be off-side, but Nottingham-based Next Door Dance defy limitations when it comes to whole-heartedly celebrating football. Voice-overs supply the background atmospheres - players, coaches and commentators evoking the highs and lows of the game - but it’s the four performers’ body language and...

With a set that features prominently a framed picture of Gary Lineker, trophies, medals and fireplace given a new life as goalposts, Next Door Dance’s The Beautiful Game is obviously a show aimed at football lovers. But it’s one that’ll likely strike a chord with anyone who was obsessive about...

It’s not very often that publicity truly accurately describes a show, but “a ballsy tribute to the nation’s favourite sport” is precisely what Next Door Dance deliver with The Beautiful Game. With tongues very firmly in cheeks, it’s also affectionate, fun and fabulous entertainment that you don’t need to be a football fan to enjoy. Physical theatre at its best. Oh yes, and there’s some super dance too.

This summer has seen a huge rise in the popularity of women’s football. The Women’s World Cup in France this year was broadcast on all the major channels and people who may never have watched women’s football before, or football at all for that matter, were tuning in. The Next...

This makes for good theatre as the movement on the pitch, the gestures in the dugout and the fan’s emotions – either on a terrace or in the living room is ripe for parody and demonstration. There are few, if any games in the world where the vast majority of...
