Description

You have one vote. Use it wisely. Ballot-tastic is a funny, light-hearted story about voting that’s fabulous for families who want to get young people talking about democracy. We make asking big questions fun through rhymes, games and spoken word. Join Miranda Duffy and the Den of Enquiry team from Rollicking Politics as we ask: who guards the guards and keeps our votes safe? And, why does this matter in a democracy? Based on PhD research and a UK Top30 Education podcast. Rollicking politics = confident questioning.

What a lovely show. My daughter was engaged throughout and said she learned a lot. Good luck with your PhD!

A thoroughly enjoyable 50 minutes. Engaging and thought-provoking. I really enjoyed the children’s involvement as it brought home the importance of engaging them directly in politics - and they were certainly engaged. Highly recommend.

My two girls and I loved it! Interactive, fun and educational with an important message. Highly recommended.

A mum and her three kids present this piece to teach us democracy in action. It was very like a school classroom presentation- not quite slick enough for the Fringe. 40mins long and I think we were all relieved when it was over. This was the first performance.
