Description

Popular South African production, Baked Shakespeare, is coming to the Edinburgh Fringe! Baked Shakespeare – a group of professionally trained actors – performing Shakespeare how you have never seen it before. As You Like It is a classic Shakespearean comedy, following the love story between Rosalind and Orlando, and the freedom they find in the Forest of Arden. The show plays with gender identity, feminism, and wrestling. Fun fact – Rosalind has the most lines of any woman in a Shakespeare play.

Best show I’ve seen at Fringe. Such a professional production, the songs are so fun and catchy and the ‘baked’ actors made the show incredibly playful. Stellar show, already organised to see it with mates when it comes to London!

This happens to me one of my fave Shakespeare plays, probably my fave. And with the 420 spin it's even more my fave now. Hands down the best/funniest Fringe show I've seen in years. Great cast. The actor who played Oliver is a total hunk as well. It's a shame they weren't sold out. They deserved a packed audience. The only drawback is they weren't selling their branded Baked Shakespeare tote bags that appeared on stage after the show. Maybe they had none left or maybe they don't make more for purchase? I would definitely buy one. If I get a chance I'll be seeing it again this week while it is still on.
