Description

At a post-scandal press conference, Preservative MP Babs Romance guides the audience through the highs and lows of her political career, with archive footage, dance numbers, speeches and flashbacks. As Babs puts herself at the centre of memorable political events, this unabashed drag show takes a satirical slant on those who govern us. Babs debuted as part of a lockdown series on BBC Radio in 2021, which was later archived as part of the country’s reaction to Covid by the British Library. Babs saw it all unfold, and has a vast and detailed story to tell…

General venue access

For this performance space: Space is up full flight of stairs and one quarter-flight of stairs up from courtyard, 25 steps in total, the main full flight approx 1m wide, and the final quarter flight approx 0.8m wide.
