Description
Comedian. Trans woman. Voice of a generation. After a slew of award wins, nominations and five-star reviews, Anna Piper Scott has earned herself the title of Australia's most acclaimed independent comedian. Now she's making her UK debut with her most controversial show. A show that draws from Hannah Gadsby, Dave Chappelle and court jesters, all to ask one question: how do you be funny without being stuck as the punchline? 'Puts the trans in transgressive' ****½ (Chortle.co.uk). 'Genius-level... a masterpiece... an outsider story for outsiders' (Saturday Paper). Bravo Anna Piper Scott! This was a fabulous hour of comedy and social commentary. I was fixated on every word.
Anna Piper Scott has a captivating stage presence that draws you in. Her hour of comic storytelling is a lovely blend of personal reflections and social commentary. The whole audience was laughing in unison. I would happily see this show twice. This woman is one to watch!

This show was absolutely fantastic and provided a much needed trans perspective to the world of stand-up comedy. Hilarious throughout, but also honest, heartfelt, and vulnerable.

Everyone should go! Anna Piper Scott brings you on a deep dive of the history of comedy, marginalization, and healing. I know I just listed some heavy stuff, but trust me the show is uproariously funny and is something many, many people should hear. Anna Piper Scott is the court jester of old, and she has some news for us.
Delightful, thought provoking, and (my apologies for saying it) inspirational.

Loved this show! When I first walked in ahead of the show's start time, Anna was sitting on the stage steps chatting with audience members asking what their names were and where they were from etc. She came across as a genuinely lovely person and of course very funny and insightful too. She talked a lot about how trans women are either presented as a victim, a villain or a punchline and she gave her own personal experiences of each one which did take the show to some dark places. The various stories about her chaos demon housemate were a particular highlight and overall I just felt that it was a brilliant show! I've now started following Anna on social media and I'm looking forward to seeing what she does next.

Anna is an experienced Aussie standup comedian who has honed her craft and knows how to make us laugh. She takes us through her personal journey of highs, lows and a particularly helpful chaos demon. We LOVED this show!
