Andy Barr is a brilliant character comedian with a dry wit and a knack for imaginative, ambitious storytelling comedy. His performance is funny, his material is funny. I saw the great Tropic of Admin Fringe show in 2017, then missed Andy in 2018 which was an error on my part because The Ruby is excellent. Andy has that ability to comit fully to his outrageously silly ideas, making them all the more entertaining to observe live. Some of my favourite comedy is quite deadpan, off beat, anti-humour in style....Tim Key, Brian Gittins, Luke McQueen, John Kearns, Mat Ewins. If you like that type of thing then go to see Andy Barr.

I've seen Andy Barr last year and I found his work hilarious and creative so I came back for more. It's difficult to pack a complex story about a curse that spans several generations alongside jokes and funny audience interactions, but he managed to do it brilliantly. I found very interesting how imaginative was the use of some props and some of the running jokes.

A twisted tale of a family tree, encountering corruption, greed, and other themes. Using inventive props and quick changing visuals to surreal concepts Andy guides you through the winding narrative of his own mortality (trying not to spoil things). I was howling throughout from the quick-witted snaps at the audience and his tech boy Mikey, stupid cues and audio, and wacky characters.

He is an amazing storyteller and creative on a budget for sure!

Andy cracked me up! A master of story telling and comedy I could watch him day after day after day, a must see for sure!
