Description

An Alternative Helpline for the End of the World is a 15-minute consultation delivered through a 1 on 1 phone call, in which the solo audience members' responses through a yes or no algorithm will dictate the course of the performance. Inspired by systems used by call handlers in the pandemic response, each phone call will lead to an outcome recommended by a computer algorithm – a piece of advice for the end of the world. Winner of Autopsy Award 2023.

General venue access

  • Accessible entry: Follow the access ramp from the courtyard into the main reception/lobby. If not taking the ramp there are 6 steps into the lobby.

    • Wheelchair access type: Wheelchair accessible (please contact the venue for more information)

  • Stairs: 6 - 10
    Number of stairs is provided as guidance and is not in addition to any wheelchair access type (lift/ramp etc) stated above.

How and when to make an access booking

Our access tickets service is available to anyone who:

  • Would like to book specific accessibility services, e.g. a hearing loop, audio description headsets, captioning units, seating in relation to the location of the BSL interpreter
  • Requires extra assistance when at a venue
  • Has specific seating requirements
  • Is a wheelchair user
  • Requires a complimentary personal assistant ticket to attend a performance
