Description
Grown-ups are confusing, as are the rules of their world! In this family-friendly reimagining of Lewis Carroll’s enduring tale Alice navigates the topsy-turvy world of wonderland. Alice explores the strange, yet strangely familiar landscape, encountering playing cards and chess queens, cats and caterpillars. Alice negotiates the curious customs of an unending tea party and the strange expectations of flamingo croquet, but will she escape with her head intact? With all the much-loved and colourful characters, dance and original song and live music, this is a show to capture the imagination of every child. Once in a while I stumble across that rare thing, a fringe gem. In this case it came from the most unexpected place, Wonderland.
Alices’s Adventure’s, Nicholson Square, is billed as children’s theatre and so it is. The colourful and upbeat settings are an immediate hit with the youngest in the audience who giggle and dance, hanging on to the edge of their seats. But this is so much more. Sophisticated direction delights with cleverly woven surprises throughout, each scene delivering a delightful reinterpretation of the classical characters.
The performance of this young cast delivers each beloved character with skill but without cliche.
An extraordinary piece of theatre discovered by accident. A theatre company to watch.

What a fabulous show!!
So much energy on the stage and audience engagement, on top of that the costumes, stage and music were mind blowing. Well done to everyone involved, hopefully see you in Edinburgh next year, i will be keeping my eye out for these very talented young performers.

Absolutely incredible show! My little boy was terrified of the queen of hearts! Remarkably well played. The turtle was hilarious too. As much fun for the adults as it it for the kids. Highly recommend.
