I discovered Alice through the podcast Risky Boys, and they were very impressive to see live. They have a great stage presence - an acerbic and sassy persona which is very funny, but also an underlying affability which made the audience feel welcome.

I had more fun than I had at a lot of shows at bigger venues - I felt closer to the performer both because we were in the tiny back room of a pub, and because they were prepared to be genuinely vulnerable with the audience. I think this show is a hidden gem.
