Description
Have you ever wondered: what makes a real man? What should he drink? What should he wear? And what on earth does he do when he’s out with the lads? Well professional over-thinker and stand up Jacob Moreton has done exactly that. Through a series of boisterous stories and laddish characters, audiences will explore what it means to be masculine in this gender-bending climate we find ourselves living in. Prepare yourself to experience the intense challenges that come with being so manly... like trying to light a fire without chipping a freshly painted nail. Please note that while all media gallery content is provided by verified members of the event, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society does not review or approve this content before it is posted. What a lovely, funny, thought provoking show this is. Jacob is a great storyteller.
There is much in here that is really funny. Jacob has something to say too though. From a standpoint of 'everyone should be who they are and live a life true to themselves', he asks whether questioning of this can sometimes come from surprising sources.
Interesting, but above all, funny and engaging, this is a show not to miss.

Go!!
This was one of our ‘wild cards’ for this year and we went with no idea what to expect (honestly, we were bracing ourselves for some mansplaining). Without ever using the phrase, Jacob completely and hilariously broke down toxic masculinity, and had the audience in stitches the entire evening. His Sean Connery impression had everyone in the room (including the sound tech) crying!! Well worth the gamble; our favourite ‘wild card’ so far!
