Description

'Mrs Richardson, you're trying to seduce me. Aren't you?' In 2011, Alexander Fox left school and went to music college, where he began an illicit affair with his drum teacher. Their lives became intertwined, then increasingly dark and dangerous as Alexander learned a few more lessons at college than he'd anticipated. Set in a recording studio around an electronic drum kit, Whiplash meets The Graduate in this drumming comedy experience, from the creator of cult hit Ringo, and one of the UK's most innovative and adventurous new talents. 'Brilliantly funny and inventive' (David Walliams). 'Excellent' (Jack Dee).

A quirky and clever hour with great use of drums, narrative, and straight up jokes. Alex is exceptionally skilled as a storyteller, comedian, and drummer. A thoroughly enjoyable show that I highly recommend!

Absolutely brilliant, worth seeing

A clever use of the drum kit to joosh up a familiar narrative. A very talented guy and a really enjoyable show.

"With the exception of George Dawes in Shooting Stars and that video of the pug drumming to Enter Sandman, it’s hard to imagine how someone can make drums funny, especially someone as musically proficient as Alexander Fox. However, Fox uses the drums to create both a scenario with the audience and a tale of infidelity, obsession, and movie references."

Skilled drummer. Have seen at sketch thieves before and that style of show suits him much better. Didn't get a lot of laughs from me unfortunately for this one.
