Description

Akbayan is a beautiful folk legend that is performed by the spectacular Kazakh Theatre of Drama and Music Kyzylorda and directed by the esteemed Hussein Amir Temir. This will be a European premiere and suitable for all audiences. Bayan and Kozy are the main characters in this legend and they both bring to life the history, romance and tradition of Kazakhstan. The beautiful Bayan is promised in marriage to Kozy as a young child and while Kozy always remains besotted by the idea of Bayan, she forgets him, and his wooing of her becomes the stuff of legends!
