Description

Your life from the day of your 25th birthday through to your death. Seminal moments. Rites of passage. And all the things unsaid. Inspired by hospices, mystics and trips to the cemetery, Age Is a Feeling wrestles with our endless chances to change course while we're alive. From Haley McGee – 'Fearless, raw talent' (CBC) – creator of sell-out The Ex-Boyfriend Yard Sale. 'Brilliantly entertaining, witty and poignant' (Lyn Gardner). A covert rallying cry against cynicism and regret. A call to seize our time. Directed by Adam Brace.

This show was my fringe highlight. It's such a beautiful show. I didn't expect to feel so introspective and emotional at 12pm, but there I was sobbing along with the rest of the audience. I left feeling very grateful for life vowing to live in the moment, create more memories, and friendships, and look forward to the wonderful life lessons to come. Thank you for this show, Hailey! What a message.

From the first few seconds of the show until the end, you are completely gripped by the story, the emotions, and cheer brilliance of the writing and the performance. This a show that packs a real punch and Haley is sure to be a future huge start. 5 stars

Loved this show, laughter and tears in equal measure. Telling the story of life from 25 to death. So many parts that you’ll recognise and think that’s me! The audience get to pick how the story unfolds.

Hayley McGhee has created an absolute gem of a solo show in Age is a Feeling. A day after seeing it, some of the lines (and feelings evoked) are still zinging around my mind (and heart). In other hands the concept of this show might feel cliched and presumptuous but McGhee’s mesmerising presence on stage and terrifyingly insightful script are beautiful, compelling and moving from start to finish.
